Radical Self Reclamation

Recently, I’ve been taking a marketing and personal branding course and I have to admit, it’s been pretty eye-opening!!!

As a therapist who prides herself on walking the walk, I can honestly say I’ve sat with every disgusting, uncomfortable, icky, awkward, shameful, cringey feeling I could, and none of that scares me (you all know I’m the ‘cut it open and let it bleed’ kinda gal!).

But the thought of really putting myself out there in a business sense? Holy shit!

I had so many blocks. Worse still, I knew they were there, but I never wanted to look at them because they were wrapped in a ‘business’ or ‘money’ lens.

But, as anyone running their own show knows, you simply can’t separate the personal from the professional anymore.

This course has shoved the magnifying glass over my blindspots and, because of that, there’s a shift happening in how I want to show up (yay growth).

So this is ME, from here on in, trying to show up for you in a more vulnerable, authentic way!

When I sat down to really dive into my “why” to get honest about what drives my work it wasn’t clinical. It wasn’t polished. It was raw and personal.
I want to help women reclaim themselves.

Not in a surface-level “treat yourself” kind of way, but in a deep, gritty, get-your-hands-dirty return to the parts of you that got buried in order to make others comfortable kind of way.

That’s what self-reclamation is!

It’s remembering who you were……before we were told who to be.

From Survive To Thrive

Many of the people who walk through my door have spent their lives surviving.

Having to navigate childhood trauma, toxic relationships, perfectionism, people-pleasing.

They’ve become masters at reading the room, staying small, or showing up as the “cool girl,” the “strong one,” the “caregiver.”

But at what cost?

Their authenticity.

Their voice.

Their nervous system.

Their joy.

Radical self-reclamation isn’t about swinging wildly in the other direction and burning everything to the ground (unless, of course, it is).

It’s about getting honest. About asking yourself:
Who am I when no one else is watching?
What do I actually want?
Where have I abandoned myself and how do I begin the repair?

What Reclamation Looks Like At Wild Heart Therapy

This work isn't all fire and fury, though there’s room for that, too.

Sometimes it’s incredibly gentle.

It’s learning to sit with discomfort without dissociating.

It’s exploring the ways trauma shaped your responses, your beliefs, your relationships.

It’s giving a voice to the parts of you that never got to speak.

At Wild Heart Therapy, we use evidence-based trauma modalities like DBR (Deep Brain Reorienting) and somatic experiencing to safely guide that process.

This isn’t about band-aid solutions or spiritual bypassing. It’s nervous system repair. It’s identity work.

It’s soul work.

And for many women, especially those post-divorce, post-burnout, or post-betrayal, this process isn’t just healing.

It’s liberation.

Why It Matters and Why I’ll Never Shut Up About It

Here’s the truth: a regulated, self-aware, grounded woman is a powerful thing.

She stops over-functioning. She stops apologising. She stops chasing people who can’t meet her.

She starts living on her own terms.

That’s why this is more than therapy. It’s a movement.
It’s for every woman who’s been told she was “too much” or “not enough.”
It’s for the wild hearts, the ones who know there’s more, even if they’re not sure what that looks like yet.

This Is Your Invitation

If this speaks to something in you, even if you can’t quite name it, you’re not alone.

You don’t have to keep faking fine. There is a way back to yourself, and it’s braver, bolder, and more beautiful than you imagine.

Welcome to Radical Self Reclamation.
